RAINBOW started with about 4 guys in mid-2009. We started playing airsoft games with spring pistols on a church campus. One of our friends brought his AEG and wrecked all of us. Shortly after, we all had decent AEG’s and were soon wrecking each other. Our regular playing field was off-limits shortly after a few police calls and close encounters with pedestrians. We decided to start a team and go play against some other people on an actual airsoft field. That’s how it started.
We don’t adhere to any sort of “command” structure. Once you’re a RAINBOW you’re pretty much the same level as everyone else. No true captains, commanders, or “big shots”. We have players who have more experience than others, but that’s it.
The way we play airsoft is a lot different from how other teams play (from what we have witnessed on fields). It seems that other teams really get into the whole simulation aspect of it rather than the game itself. All the teams are about “Yes, sir!” and “Ready to carry out orders!” or, “I just got this new outfit, does it look good… sir?!”. That’s fine if that’s what your team is all about. Go for it.
Our team focuses more so on game objectives. Trying to win. We like to look at it with more of a competitive mindset rather than anything else.
We have about 8-10 solid members and we’re always looking for more. If you’re interested in playing with us, send us a message and we’ll let you know the next time we head out and where we’re going.

I was just wondering where your located, i am a very big airsofter and i would like to join u guys. I live in San Diego and im familiar with SoCal and the Aca. Also, what is your age requirement, i am only thirteen, but i am skilled and own a magpul pts masada. Last question, do u guy require any certain gear?

RAINBOW team is awesome! You guys have great strategy, team work, and style. I would love to play airsoft but it is to expensive right now and I don't think they allow it where I'm living. Good luck on your future battles :)
