Recently, our team headed up to Stockton, CA to meet up with Arwin (MilsimJunkie on the interwebz) and check out his totally awesome field, CQB City.
First off, the road trip took us about 6 hours after our car accident. Yes, car accident. After about an hour of driving, we were rear ended by a driver who fell asleep at the wheel. Very common during rush hour actually. The hot sun pounding down on you, traffic sucks, etc. Taking a road time nap is very appealing. Anyways, 2 hours later (had to wait for the cops because the other party didn't have insurance) we finally were on the road again....

This will be a quick review of this field.
We arrived here at around 2pm because the website stated that they start airsoft games from 2pm-10pm. We thought, "Sweet! We will get some night game action in."
We unloaded, placed all of our stuff down on a loading table and walked over to the admin office to pay. This place is very big. On top of offering airsoft games, they also offer paintball, rock climbing, roller hockey, soccer, etc. It's a large place.
They get a lot of props and sets from movies (like Starship Troopers) which is kind of cool. So, you will see some space ships and what...

After wasting an entire Saturday at a paintball park pretending to be an airsoft field (that review will soon be posted), we decided to head up to Desert Fox for one of their Sunday pick up games. Watch our game play video of this day here.
This was our first time out there. We've heard a lot about it from friends, other players, and the occasional flyer that is in your way while you're trying to look at the pistol under the glass, but no hands on experience.
We looked at the location on a map and then had a collective *gasp*. I won't sugar coat this one... it's out there (the majority...

The RAINBOW team decided to check this field out. We have heard a lot about it and how awesome it was so we thought why not?
We show up just before it opened, got checked in and found a table to throw our gear on. The total turn out was about 80 people. Nice turn out.
The first thing we noticed was the temperature. It was extremely hot that day. High 90's all day. We always bring water but found ourselves wanting copious amounts this particular day. The next thing we noticed was a lack of tables and surface area. I found myself having to put my bags on the ground in the dirt and having to setup...

Ah, Jericho: Camp Pendleton.
We first started going there about 1 year ago. We only had about 4-5 solid players at that time and really had no idea what we were doing. It was all new and exciting for us. We stood around with our guns (some of them still in the boxes, haha) and waited for the game to start. After about 5 minutes of trying to load up and get ready for a game, we hear a strong british accent over a loud speaker say, "Everyone who is playing today stand in a single file line right over here." We all walk over, eager to get on with it already and start shooting some fools only to hear...
