A few of us just got back from a day at Insight Interactive Airsoft. We had a pretty good day, with great competition from another awesome team. A review of the field, and some gameplay footage will be posted on Youtube shortly.
On the Web Series, episode 1 part 2: Unfortunately we had to cancel the filming this weekend due to bad weather. It was a beautiful Autumn day at Jericho Camp Pendleton airsoft park. It was one of my first times ever playing with the legendary RAINBOW team. My gun was at the shop getting repairs and upgrades, so I was forced to rent one from the owner. So I grabbed my M4 cqb rental, and loaded up with a stack of my brand new midcap mags.

In order to play, You will need:
- 2 teams, with a total of at least 6-12 players*
- 2 or 3 medics per team
(games with a large number of people, you can usually use about 1/4 of the team as medics)
Rules:*
- When you are hit, one of your medics must grab you and revive you for a set amount of time (e.g.- 20 second touch). optional- medics can physically drag a downed player to safety before his revival.
- You can be revived by a medic an infinite amount of times
- When a medic is hit, another medic must revive him

Airsoft is an expensive sport. We have all dropped a lot of money into this and it's starting to effect our personal lives. Some of the RAINBOW members have taken on side jobs such as private security. We're not proud of it but it's something that needs to be done. We take our airsoft guns on the job and hope nobody notices that they are just replicas... and also hope that nobody actually tries to attack us.
We've tried to get sponsored, but so far no luck. We'll keep trying and hopefully someone will notice that we can offer a lot of great services (besides our security services, of course)...

In MILSIM usage, strategy is distinct from tactics. How an airsoft battle is fought is a matter of tactics: the terms and conditions that it is fought on, and whether it should be fought at all is a matter of strategy.
